Drilling for construction sand near the northern margin of the Willunga Basin intersected the Eocene succession unconformably overlain by Quaternary units. Two of three holes penetrated into the target North Maslin Sand, but were abandoned before encountering bedrock. Part of the sand would satisfy construction sand specifications after washing.
