Tarpeena township has been provided with a reticulated water supply from the upper Knight Group aquifer. Two bores 15 m apart have been constructed and fully equipped, one of them for standby purposes. The safe yield of the supply bore is 20 litres/second, and that of the standby bore 30 litres/second. At no stage should both bores be pumped simultaneously. A properly conducted aquifer test and regular specific capacity tests for both bores are recommended.
