The Tarpeena T.W.S. Bore No. 2 was completed in October 1973 to augment the existing town water supply. An aquifer test was carried out, using Bore No. 1 as an observation bore. The test, of 8 hours duration, gave a value of transmissivity of 1088 m3/day/metre and a value of storage coefficient of 4.5 x 10-3 in the Knight Formation.
