Rotary drilling of 16 holes at the Tatachilla sand deposit on the northern margin of the Willunga Basin indicates total reserves of 3.6M cubic metres of construction sand and 0.8M cubic metres of filling sand. Overburden and waste totol 2.3M cubic metres. The construction sand represents the lower portion of the Middle Eocene North Maslin Sand which rests unconformably on Precambrian bedrock.
