Water level data suggests that there is little transmission of groundwater via the Pallamana Fault. Groundwater quality is generally poor, particularly in the southern part of the area. Significant increases in runoff from the Honarto area to the nest of the fault will have little influence on the general level of the water table throughout the area although marked local effects will occur. A slight freshening of groundwater and an increase in groundwater flow to the River Murray would be expected.
