Analyses of pumping tests performed on a semi-confined aquifer of the Knight Group in the Hundred of Mingbool indicate that the coefficient of permeability of the confining bed is approximately 0.015 metres3 day-1 metre-2. Values of transmissivity and storage coefficient of 500 metres3 day-1 metre-1 and 5 x 10-3 respectively are suggested for the southerly direction from the pumping bore. Determination of the equation of drawdown for the pumped bore enables predictions of the effect of long term discharge to be made. The influence of a lutite bed on local swamp characteristics is briefly discussed.
