A seismic refraction survey and two cable tool drill holes were completed to determine foundation conditions for a proposed drainage structure at Dry Crek, Monarto. Drilling showed 10m of Quaternary alluvium overlying Cambrian Kanmantoo Group schist and meta-sandstone. Groundwater was cut at 3.5m. The only siutable bearing horizon appears to be the bedrock.
