Six water bores were put down to a cumulative depth of 424 m between the N.T. border and Alice Springs, at sites nominated by the N.T. Water Resources Branch. Successful wells were completed at C58, C177 and C189 km, and preliminary indicated...

Six water bores were put down to a cumulative depth of 424 m between the N.T. border and Alice Springs, at sites nominated by the N.T. Water Resources Branch. Successful wells were completed at C58, C177 and C189 km, and preliminary indicated yields vary between 900 and 3000 g.p.h. (1.1 to 3.8 1/sec). Salinity is in the range 1000 - 20 000 mg/l.
