In the North West Province of South Australia the areas controlled by the aboriginals are the North West Aboriginal Reserve, three pastoral leases and the small reserve at Indulkana. The aboriginals now decide who has access to these areas. Because there are many communities of aboriginals who have control in specific areas the correspondence involved in applying for access can be complicated. This report gives a resume of the aboriginal situation in the North West Province, describes how to apply for access, and, suggests an approach to the aboriginals which will gain and maintain harmonious relationships between the aboriginals and white people.
