Resistivity investigations were carried out near the Streaky Bay town water supply reserve to define the basement topography as an aid to understanding the hydrogeology of the area. Twenty one vertical electrical soundings and seven profiles of apparent resistivity were used to construct a contoured conductance map, which indicated lateral variations in the vertical resistivity section. From these data a map of interpreted depth to high resistivity basement was prepared.
