Gold mineralisation occurs near Orama Hill, situated north of Koonamore Station Homestead, and at Kirkeek?s Treasure gold mine on the Nillinghoo Goldfield. These two localities are about 25 km apart, and lie along the axis of the Orama Hill Anticline. In June 1978 W.P. Fradd and J.J. Martins carried out a stream sediment survey over the central part of this anticline, to explore for fine-grained gold mineralisation that might be present in the anticline between these two gold occurrences.
