Thirteen Schlumberger vertical electrical soundings have been conducted in the Yunta area as part of a continuing program to assess the groundwater potential of the area. The geology was found to be unfavourable for this technique, hence a comprehensive quantitative interpretation of the soundings was not possible. Analysis of the results suggests that the area around Woolshed Bore has a significant accumulation of fresh water, so drilling a bore and pump testing it is recommended.
