A seismic refraction survey at Redcliff Point on Spencer Gulf has confirmed the existence of a trough up to 450 m deep and 3.5 km wide, oriented north-south beneath the western portion of the promontory. Two internal refracting horizons have been identified within this trough. A drillhole to identify the infill material of the trough has been recommended.
