EML 4665, 9 km NW of Tumby Bay, contains isoclinally folded Lower Proterozoic Hutchison Group metasediments comprising serpentinized marble, jasper / ironstone, quartzite and gneiss. The lease was mapped, surveyed and sampled. The northern marble band is suitable for exposed aggregate but outcrop is too small. The larger southern marble band is poor quality with iron staining and layers of soft talc. Surface material is unsuitable for exposed aggregate on construction panels. Its weathered nature, coarse grain size and presence of talc renders it unsuitable for use as road aggregate. The quartzite band between the marble bands is strongly fractured and unsuitable for construction purposes except for common fill.
