Based on results of SADM seismic refraction surveys Mucka Culda no. 1, 17 km NE of Colton, was drilled on shotpoint 6W of the Mount Wedge seismic traverse, for coal potential of the Polda Basin. Lignite was found in the thick Tertiary section....

Based on results of SADM seismic refraction surveys Mucka Culda no. 1, 17 km NE of Colton, was drilled on shotpoint 6W of the Mount Wedge seismic traverse, for coal potential of the Polda Basin. Lignite was found in the thick Tertiary section. Absence of Polda formation downgrades the coal potential of this NW extension of the Polda Basin. Status: Plugged and abandoned, GL 37 metres TOP INTERSECTED (metres) Depth Quarternary Bridgewater Formation Surface Tertiary Poelpena Formation 12 ?Precambrian Unnamed 107.4 Total depth TD=124.20
