7 wells were drilled : 2 successful production wells, 1 observation well and 4 scout holes, which were unsuccessful in locating an alternative supply. Wells are prone to reduction in yield within a few years because of clogging of fissures with calcium carbonate. The aquifers are small faults in hard calcareous siltstone of the Nepabunna Siltstone. The Wilkawillina Limestone is the best target in the area, but was poor where drilled. Pump testing indicates only 1 well should be able to meet supply needs.
