Uneconomic stratiform copper mineralization over area of 2.5 by 1 km was discovered by Utah west of Eurelia in 1969 - 1977. It occurs near core of SW plunging anticline in the Burra Group. Host rocks are carbonaceous and pyritic siltstone, dolomite, and arenite with interbedded chert and magnesite conglomerate. Primary mineralization consists of chalcopyrite and pyrite in quartz and calcite veins and disseminated in host rocks, with secondary malachite, cupriferous chlorite, chalcocite and native copper. Kimberlite dyke was intersected in drill hole north of the area, and other kimberlites have since been found. This report summarises company exploration data.
