Wilgena 1 (TD 973 m) penetrated 964 m into Tarcoola Formation within the Wilgena Sub-basin, without encountering magnetic basement. Thin dacitic to basaltic tuffs and basaltic flows, interbedded with carbonaceous siltstones, indicate contemporaneous volcanism throughout this unit. Base metal content assay values were low, but exploration potential exists near the basin margin.
