Existing drill hole data (1100 holes) is unsuitable for interpreting the geological sequences for hydrological modelling or basin studies unless geophysically logged (114 holes). A proposed interpretation of gamma and neutron logs uses numeric cut - off values determined by correlating log response with lithologic core descriptions, resulting in adequately distinguishing main aquifers and aquitards and defining geological units.
