Summarises data on 8 separate lodes. White, fine to coarsely crystalline barite, has deleterious quartz and limonite and only minor high grade barite. Barite was formed during Ordovician and Delamerian Orogeny as infillings of open fissures in faults, tectonic breccias and diapiric breccias. Host rocks vary from Adelaidean Umberatana Group and Wilpena Group to early Cambrian Hawker Group. Production from 1940 to 1958 totals 3531 tonnes. Inferred reserves are 2000 tonnes / vertical metre of oil drilling grade barite at No. 2 Lode.
