10 fully cored shallow holes (total 543.2 m) were rotary mud drilled at four localities by the Australian Commonwealth Bureau of Mineral Resources (BMR) to elucidate the cover stratigraphy, particularly the upper age limit of the Etadunna Formation, depositional environment and structure. The recovered drill cores will also be used for sedimentology, vertebrate palaeontology, palynology and palaeomagnetism studies.
