Of 10 wells drilled (43 to 87 metres deep), all were unsuccessful, the highest yield being 0.3 l/s. 7 of the wells were sited near faults and photo lineaments in crystalline rocks. The 3 others were designed to intersect indurated sandstone....

Of 10 wells drilled (43 to 87 metres deep), all were unsuccessful, the highest yield being 0.3 l/s. 7 of the wells were sited near faults and photo lineaments in crystalline rocks. The 3 others were designed to intersect indurated sandstone. This area is regarded as difficult for locating water because, although the rocks are jointed, the joints are not open and provide no permeability.
