5 rock samples indicate arenaceous sediments have been subject to strong dissolution by pore fluids at a time after lithification. The resultant high porosity has either remained open, or has been filled or partially filled by dolomite, mixed sulphate material and mica which subsequently altered to clay. The sulphate may contain enough potassium to be of economic interest.
