Tarcoola State Battery and Cyanide plant crushed and treated 33 514 tonnes of ore from 1901 to 1955 yielding 1 161 092.8 grams of gold bullion. An indicated 29 250 tonnes containing 2.18 g/t Au, 320 ppm Cu, 2970 ppm Pb, 870 ppm Zn, 250 ppm As and 6.0 ppm Ag remain on site. Cyanide leaching experiments suggest that 66% gold extraction can be achieved after 24 hours with relatively low sodium cyanide and lime consumption.
