Drilling has located small but adequate supplies of groundwater in fractured crystalline basement. Nitrate contents are unacceptably high, about 100 mg/L. Previous drilling has shown that nitrates are ubiquitous in this area, and that further drilling is unlikely to locate water of satisfactory quality. Pump testing of the 2 new production wells showed that KP6 has long term yield of about 1 L/s, but KP7 is only suitable as mechanical standby.
