The Mulgathing Complex, an Archaean metasedimentary sequence with interlayered mafic and possibly acid volcanics, forms the basement of larger part of the northern Gawler Craton. These rocks have been complexly folded, subjected to granulite facies metamorphism and are clearly related to the Sleaford Complex on southern Eyre Peninsula. 5 units are described.
