5 of 9 outcrop samples produced variably preserved palynofloras. 3 from the Crowsnest Bore area and 1 from lower Morris Creek (all from Mackunda Formation) are correlative with the middle part of the Phimopollenites pannosus Zone and are thus of latest Albian to early Cenomanian in age. Low frequency and diversity of microplankton species are interpreted as paralic to epineritic conditions of deposition.1 limestone sample in Alberrie Creek is correlated with the upper part of theCoptospora paradoxa Zone, indicating a Middle Albian age. Low frequency and moderate diversity of microplankton species are interpreted as shallow water marine conditions. The age and the environment of deposition imply that the sample came from Oodnadatta Formation.
