This bibliography was completed as part of the student third year field work placement of the author. The field work experience is part of the requirement for earning the BA degree in Library Studies at the South Australian Institute of Technology. The subject was suggested by Brian Forbes of the South Australian Geological Survey's Regional Geology Branch, to aid in the geochemical study of Proterozoic and Cambrian sedimentary rocks of the Adelaide Geosyncline. It is a bibliography of citations from various journals on the subject of whole rock and trace element geochemistry of sedimentary rocks and sediments. It covers the last 29 years - from 1956 to 1985 inclusive. The main source for compiling this work was the Bibliography and Index of Geology, published by The American Geological Institute. Current Contents was also consulted for very new material.
