Fregon, south of the Musgrave Ranges, is supplied with water of 1100 to 1 500 mg/L from a weathered crystalline rock aquifer. This report aims to document all water investigations and determine if water chemistry has changed with time. About 100 Ml/year has been extracted since 1968 without a detectable increase in salinity nor decline in water level. The present pumping rate can probably be maintained indefinitely, but there is a risk of slow increase in salinity. Regular water sampling is recommended.
