Model to enhance the existing facility to calibrate density and neutron porosity probes has been constructed. This forms part of set of calibration models for the slim hole logging industry. The new model has 2 zones, 1 of high porosity and the other of low density, with 108 mm and 200 mm holes in each zone. Comparison of in-situ measurements with core measurements has enabled revised calibration curve to be produced, although some discrepancies between the 2 sets of measurements have yet to be explained. However, the log porosity values given as part of the calibration set are correct to within 2 porosity units.
