Several PC bibliographic databases have been developed on an IBM personal computer in the Geoscience Information Branch using a free text information retrieval system PC-STATUS. These include SAMREF, WATER and ENERGY. This manual summarises the procedures required to update, edit and back-up the databases. Relevant commands are summarised from : DOS (Disk Operating System), MultiMate word processor, PC-STATUS, editor from the TURBO Pascal System and MT25 tape backup system.
