5 samples from 80.63 - 175.30 metres, are Late Oligocene. None (unlike SADME Oakvale 1) are Early Miocene. The sample from 80.63 metres is probably latest Oligocene but no younger : Tenuitella gemma' is present. The sample from 175.30 metres is Guembelitria triseriata' Zone, and correlates with Zone P. 21b or possibly Zone P. 22. The association of typically Janjukian benthonics Massilina torquayensis and 'Victoriella conoidea' at 175.30 m was encountered in A.O.G. Wentworth 1 (50 km WNW of Neckarboo Ridge 1) and SADM Canopus 1 (120 km further WNW again) near the base of the marine Tertiary succession.
