Exploration has not been exhaustive and potential exists for discovery of economic Pb-Zn-Ag deposits. Kanmantoo Trough contains a source of sulphur, metals, energy and structural elements for formation of Pb-Zn-Ag orebodies, as well as copper and gold. Known Pb-Zn-Ag mineralization is generally confined to the Brukunga and Strangway Hill Formations. Further exploration is warranted in : . NNW-trending structural corridor with a central granite - granite gneiss zone, including a NW-trending lineament crossing folded Karinya Shale Member NE of Truro; . Kangaroo Island where major faults and lineaments control mineralization; . near Tailem Bend where volcanic activity is represented by amphibolite layers; . Wheal Ellen - Strathalbyn Mine line.
