Of 124 wells visited, salinity was measured from 41 wells and 95 wells which were not located were added to the Bore General File. Groundwater used for stock and domestic purposes ranges in salinity from 400 ppm to 25 000 ppm. Other wells have salinities up to 50 000 ppm. Standing water levels also vary greatly and yields are generally low.
