Rocks which in the field appear to be emplaced as dykes or lava flows have been found to be altered and weathered, and include metasediments and laterites or gossans. Rocks of probable igneous origin include basaltic and doleritic types. Only one specimen is conclusively part of the lamproite-alkaline suite identified elsewhere in the area, but the possibility that one or more of the other igneous rocks may be part of the same suite, cannot be excluded.
