The prospecting effectiveness of electrical geophysical methods is determined by both the mineral sought and the environment in which it is sought. This report summarises open-file near surface geoelectrical properties data, and describes the derivation of characteristic : - electrical properties of metamorphic-igneous basement and overlying sedimentary materials; - response styles of various electrical techniques to Pb-Zn mineralization; to facilitate search area selection and the identification of viable survey techniques.
