Field investigations were undertaken to provide preliminary geotechnical and hydrogeological parameters for the design of a new open pit coal mine at Mount Owen in the Hunter Valley of New South Wales. This work was done in association with the Joint Coal Board of NSW, between February and May 1991. Additional work is required.
