Open file company data from 101 exploration licences dating from 1940 is reviewed. To 1989, 1189 rotary / percussion holes (85 000 metres) and 132 diamond drill holes (31 000 metres) were drilled in exploration for uranium, base metals and, to a minor degree, industrial minerals. At least 60% of the 2 700 sq km of Willyama Supergroup rocks is covered by surficial deposits and remains poorly explored. A separate report on the digital reprocessing of extensive IP surveys, between Radium Hill and Cockburn, will be released in conjunction with this report. Only 5 effective diamond drill holes directly tested IP anomalies outside of the Mutooroo copper mines. In addition, low-level airborne magnetic survey data are currently being image processed by SADME.
