The sample from A68 E427190/53J N7068100 is Early Cretaceous (uppermost Barremian) in age and correlative with the Cadna-owie Formation. Open marine conditions are indicated, this being typical of the upper part of the formation in the southwestern Eromanga Basin. The sample from A8 E460610/53J N7061650 is correlative with the middle part of the Bulldog Shale of latest Aptian to earliest Albian age. The environment of deposition was a shallow, marginal marine setting.
