SA Water contacted MESA early in 1996 regarding advice on the feasibility of aquifer injection at Port Adelaide using reclaimed water. Work previously undertaken on the northern Adelaide Plains has been reviewed for information pertinent to the Port Adelaide area. The potential for injection of treated effluent at the Port Adelaide wastewater treatment plant, into the deep Tertiary aquifers T2 and T3, is discussed.
