MESA were approached by the Kooyonga Golf Club in November 1995 for advice concerning the groundwater supply and quality from three old wells still in production. As indicated in correspondence dated 23/11/95, two of the wells show signs of saline leakage. The third, although yielding water of reasonable quality, is the least productive. MESA has recommended geophysical well logging to try to establish some idea of the well construction and casing conditions. This should be followed pumping of the wells to determine salinity changes, and to conduct aquifer testing which will allow the well hydraulic characteristics to be established.
