Interpreted basement geology to the Murray Basin and surrounds.

The purpose of this interpretation is to provide an initial framework for the basement to the Murray Basin upon which to plan the Geological Survey of South Australia’s MinEx CRC National Drilling Initiative drilling project targeting the Delamerian Orogen. This initial framework provides a 1:500 000 scale interpretation of the distribution of major structures, magmatic phases and volcano-sedimentary packages. Upon completion of the drilling project, the additional geological information will be used to refine and improve the geological framework for this poorly understood region of South Australia.
