This model is presented as a 'proof of concept' only for the GOCAD and Geomodeller software which the Geological Survey is using to create its 3D models, and thus its accuracy (spatial or otherwise) should not be relied upon for guiding exploration or other decision-making processes. Vertical accuracy of the interpolated formation volumes, topographic and basement surfaces are variable, in part due to resampling (topographic surface), interpretation (formation boundaries), interpolation/unconstrained inversions (Curnamona and Gawler Provinces Archaean to Late Mesoproterozoic formation volumes), and extrusion (all remaining Archaean to Late Mesoproterozoic and all Neoproterozoic to Ordovician formation volumes). |
